Grant Application

Danville Schools Education Foundation (DSEF) is offering mini grants up to $500 per teacher/classroom. Grants applications are due by Friday, November 4, 2016 with the anticipation of announcements by November 23, 2016. See more detailed information on Instruction Page.

3. In 100 words, or less, provide a general description of the program, including how you plan to spend the funds. Clarity is important. Most grant reviewers are not educators. Please provide a clear picture of what you want to do, why the focus areas matter and how you will know the project impacts student learning. Explain how the grant supports, enhances or extends your curriculum beyond current method of instruction. Share sustainability after the grant has ended. (Make a case to convince the Foundation to fund your request).

4. Budget

Detail your budget request. Include specific information such as types of materials and/or equipment, sources of supply and approximate costs. If the total project budget is greater than requested or allowed, please list other sources of funding, such as matching funds, in kind donations, community resources.

5. Goals, Standards & Evaluation

List out measurable goals and activities that will document desired outcomes, how they will be evaluated and corresponding documentation. This information will be used by the readers to determine a well thought out project which supports the goals of the school and/or district. (Note: Goals should support Kentucky Academic Standards or the Danville Diploma).

All projects must submit with this final report any pictures, newspaper articles, etc. referring to your project for the DSEF archive portfolio. (NOTE: please make sure there is permission from parents to share students’ pictures publicly through DSEF website and other social media).
